Previous Ventures

I worked as a Research Associate with Prof. Karthik Muralidharan and Prof. Paul Niehaus. I contributed to papers evaluating biometric authentication in the public distribution system and on the general equilibrium effects of NREGS in India. I also worked with Prof. Karthik Muralidharan on his upcoming book.

I was a Research Associate on the Madhya Pradesh School Quality Assurance project working for Prof. Karthik Muralidharan and Prof. Abhijeet Singh. I was a field RA and contributed to this paper on improving school governance at scale and to this paper on the myths of official measurement.

I was part of The India COVID Alliance (TICA), advising state governments on their COVID response. We provided optimal vaccination schedules accounting for health and economic benefits.

I was in the EME program. I wrote my dissertation in public economics on optimal wages in public employment programs. I also worked as a consultant with Cognoscere Consulting on a project assisting a public school in Lambeth borough in projecting student numbers and managing resources.

I majored in Math and studied Theoretical Computer Science. For my bachelor's thesis, I worked on Algebraic Complexity Theory with Prof. Chandan Saha.

During my undergrad, I worked on projects with Prof. S P Arun on shape perception from shading, and with Dr. Ramesh Hariharan on properties of Markov chains.

NBD is a student organization at IISc working towards improving the quality of education in government schools in and around the IISc campus. I volunteered with the student body and had the opportunity to serve as co-coordinator. I cherish my time volunteering with NBD.
